Ohio's Rep. Ryan endorses Clinton
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan of Ohio is supporting Hillary Rodham Clinton for president - the second Democratic Ohio superdelegate to back the New York senator in two days.
Clinton's website announced Ryan's support on Saturday. Ryan, of Niles, originally supported Connecticut Sen. Chris Dodd for the nomination.
"The people of the 17th (Congressional) District overwhelmingly voted for Senator Clinton in the Democratic primary," Ryan said on the website. "I look forward to working with her to see that our community is the beneficiary of her economic policies."
Another northeast Ohio member of Congress, Betty Sutton of Akron, threw her support behind Clinton on Friday.
